What this system asks of the build

Everything depends on the fixing into the substrate, because the entire panel load goes through a handful of small footprints. Where the slab or deck can take it, it is the fastest frameless system to install.

Where it is normally used

Pool surrounds, decks, terraces and commercial frontages — anywhere a fully frameless panel is wanted and the floor can be drilled.

How a point-fixed spigot railing is set out

Spigots are specified per panel rather than per metre. Two spigots to a panel is the normal arrangement; wider or taller panels take more, and the exact count and centres are set against the panel size and the design load for the location rather than by a fixed rule. Because a point-fixed balustrade carries everything through a handful of small footprints, the setting-out and the anchors matter more here than on any other system we make.

Core-drilled or base-plate fixed

A core-drilled spigot drops into a pocket cut in the slab, so the finished balustrade shows only a slim post rising out of the floor — the cleanest result, but it has to be planned before the floor finish goes down. A base-plate spigot bolts to the surface instead, which makes it the retrofit option and the one to use where the slab cannot be cut. Both routes are available across this range.

Stainless or aluminium-core spigots

The range covers both. Stainless spigots are the specification for pool surrounds, coastal terraces and anywhere chlorides reach the metal, where SS 316 is the correct grade. Aluminium-core spigots are lighter and more economical, and suit sheltered inland and internal work. Finish runs from mirror and matt through to the Rajwadi antique treatment for heritage-styled staircases.
