A continuous system clamps the glass along its whole bottom edge in an unbroken aluminium or stainless base channel, rather than gripping it at points. Because the load is spread across the full length of the run, the panel sits rigid with nothing visible below the glass except a single straight profile.
What this system asks of the build
It is the most material-intensive of the systems we make and needs a sound, level substrate to fix into — the base channel telegraphs any dip in the slab. In exchange you get the most minimal finished appearance and the fewest visible fixings.
Where it is normally used
Specified most often on balconies, terraces and open-plan staircases where the glass is the design feature and the client does not want brackets in the sightline.
What we stock in this range
The Continuous System range runs to 19 profiles. Between them they cover 12 mm Glass, 17.5 mm Glass, 12 mm to 25 mm Glass and 12 mm to 17.5 mm Glass. Supported glass heights are up to 3 feet, up to 3.5 feet, up to 4 feet and up to 3 to 4 feet. Stock lengths are 16 Foot & 12 Foot, 12 Foot and 16 Foot, and anything outside that is cut to a supplied cut list.
