Glass Railing and Balustrade Hardware for Export to Malaysia

Prince Railing manufactures glass railing and balustrade hardware that Malaysian distributors, fabricators and contractors can import factory-direct: spigots, aluminium base profiles, glass clamps and handrails in SS 304 and SS 316. Everything is made at our own factory in Rajkot, Gujarat, and we can export it by sea to Malaysia through Port Klang, Penang and Tanjung Pelepas. We have no office, agent or stock in Malaysia; you would buy direct from the manufacturer.

What the parts are called in Malaysia

The hardware is the same everywhere; the names are not. This is how local trade terms map to our catalogue.

All dimensions are metric. Tell us the glass thickness and the barrier height.

What you get from the factory

• Made in-house. All seven railing systems are produced at our own works in Rajkot, which is how quality and finish stay consistent across a large order.
• Stated steel grade. SS 304 or SS 316, named on the quotation, with mill test certificates available on request.
• Finishes. Anodized, powder-coated, mirror and matt.
• Made to your specification. Glass thickness, supported height and profile length are manufactured to the project.
• Packed for sea freight. Profiles supported along their length with protected ends, fittings boxed and itemised.

Codes your project will be checked against

Building work in Malaysia is governed by the Uniform Building By-Laws 1984 under the Street, Drainage and Building Act, with approvals through the local authority and the design submitted by a professional engineer or architect. A balcony or roof barrier of 1,000 mm is the commonly cited figure, safety glass is expected in barriers and laminated glass where a frameless balustrade has no handrail. Confirm the figures the submitting engineer has adopted.

We manufacture the hardware; whether an installed barrier complies is decided by your engineer or certifier for that structure, glass and fixing. We provide profile dimensions, the steel grade and mill test certificates on request so they can make that call.

Steel grade for the climate

Malaysia is tropical and humid year-round, and Penang, Johor, Kota Kinabalu and the whole coastline add salt air, so SS 316 is the practical grade outdoors. Interiors are well served by SS 304. The reasoning is set out in our SS 304 vs SS 316 guide.

Shipping to Malaysia

Export orders ship by sea from the Gujarat coast, where Mundra, Kandla and Pipavav are the container ports nearest the factory. The main destination ports for Malaysia are Port Klang, Penang and Tanjung Pelepas. Port Klang serves the Klang Valley and Kuala Lumpur; Penang the north and Tanjung Pelepas the south, with direct and Singapore-transhipped services from western India.
