Glass Railing and Balustrade Hardware for Export to the UAE

Prince Railing manufactures glass railing and balustrade hardware that UAE fit-out contractors, aluminium and glass fabricators and building-material traders can import factory-direct: spigots, aluminium base profiles, brackets and handrails in SS 304 and SS 316. Everything is made at our own factory in Rajkot, Gujarat, and we can export it by sea to the United Arab Emirates through Jebel Ali and Khalifa Port. We have no office, agent or stock in the United Arab Emirates; you would buy direct from the manufacturer.

What the parts are called in the United Arab Emirates

The hardware is the same everywhere; the names are not. This is how local trade terms map to our catalogue.

All dimensions are metric. Villa and tower projects are usually specified by a consultant, so the specification clause and the approved shop drawing are the most useful things to send.

What you get from the factory

• Made in-house. All seven railing systems are produced at our own works in Rajkot, which is how quality and finish stay consistent across a large order.
• Stated steel grade. SS 304 or SS 316, named on the quotation, with mill test certificates available on request.
• Finishes. Anodized, powder-coated, mirror and matt.
• Made to your specification. Glass thickness, supported height and profile length are manufactured to the project.
• Packed for sea freight. Profiles supported along their length with protected ends, fittings boxed and itemised.

Codes your project will be checked against

Requirements in the UAE are set emirate by emirate: the Dubai Building Code in Dubai, the Abu Dhabi International Building Code in Abu Dhabi, and each municipality's own approvals elsewhere. Barrier heights, loads and glass type are fixed by the project consultant and approved by the authority, and many project specifications also reference British or American standards. Send the consultant's specification with your enquiry and we will confirm which profiles suit it.

We manufacture the hardware; whether an installed barrier complies is decided by your engineer or certifier for that structure, glass and fixing. We provide profile dimensions, the steel grade and mill test certificates on request so they can make that call.

Steel grade for the climate

Gulf humidity carries salt well inland, summer surface temperatures are extreme and dust settles on everything. Specify SS 316 for all external work, plan for regular washing to prevent tea staining, and allow for thermal movement in long glass runs. The reasoning is set out in our SS 304 vs SS 316 guide.

Shipping to the United Arab Emirates

Export orders ship by sea from the Gujarat coast, where Mundra, Kandla and Pipavav are the container ports nearest the factory. The main destination ports for the United Arab Emirates are Jebel Ali and Khalifa Port. The Gulf is among the shortest sea routes from Gujarat, which keeps transit times and freight on mixed consignments low compared with other export markets.
